Magento Product Name Changes

Some Magento product name changes were announced in the most recent partner Aspire call. This follows Magento’s corporate name change to Magento Commerce after parting ways with eBay.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Both Magento Enterprise Cloud Edition and Magento Enterprise Edition are now known as Magento Commerce
  • Magento Community Edition is now known as Magento Open Source

Additionally, Magento Commerce Order Management will know be known simply as Magento Order Management.

Magento’s reasoning behind these changes it that it will align suite and product names with the future vision of the company. It will also ensure that the names represent the organization’s upgraded products and services. The call emphasized that that these changes are meant to underscore Magento’s commitment to leading with cloud-based services.

4 Things You Need to Know About the Future of Marketing

Since we just checked in on some 2017 marketing predictions, what better time to take a look at the future of marketing as well? Think with Google recently released four trends shaping the future of marketing from their recent ad and commerce event, Google Marketing Next.

One of the insights Think with Google brings up is the blending of the offline and online worlds. The increased presence of technology in the customer journey may make the journey less linear, but it also gives marketers more opportunities to track the process. Think with Google predicts that as technology advances, innovative measurement tools will help marketers understand the full customer journey across channels, devices, and media types, bridging the digital and physical worlds.
