Dave Balser, JD Edwards Delivery Director:

“A good day is when no one shows up and you don’t have to go anywhere.” Burt Shavitz

Burt Shavitz, the face of Burt’s Bees died July 6th at the age of 80. His eccentric life was the subject of the documentary “Burt’s Buzz”, available on Netflix. It’s an interesting study about the life of someone who stumbled into something he never intended.

Gian Genovesi, Magento Delivery Lead:

IBM's New Chip Is Four Times as Powerful as Today's Best Silicon

Moore's law continues!!!

Navarr Barnier, Magento Developer:

Stuffin.Space

You always hear about how much cruft is flying around our planet, but it’s a whole other thing to see it!  Stuffin.Space is an interactive map showing the satellites of Earth including their orbits.

Michelle Kowalski, UI/UX Designer:

Price Peterson's Teen Wolf Recaps

teen-wolf

Teen Wolf is the unofficial favorite TV show in the Briteskies office. I look forward to Price Peterson's recaps for their sassy wit and also because they help me comprehend the beautiful and complicated drama Teen Wolf serves up each week.

Adam Boe, Magento Intern:

As a student of Case Western Reserve University and an avid Microsoft fan, this video piqued my interest. Can’t wait to see the other revolutionary applications of the HoloLens.

John Kormanec, Solutions Architect:

HEALTHYDAY

McNeil Consumer Healthcare (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson) has created a new mobile app that tracks the spread of colds and flu in your community. The app collects data from mainstream sources used to track the spread of disease and compares it to what’s trending on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook to determine if people in your area might be sick. The HEALTHYDAY app can provide you with “Illness Alerts” when reports of illness are on the rise in your neighborhood and will also make suggestions on how to prevent infection and even ease symptoms if you become sick.

Hannah Gierosky, Marketing Specialist:

"Stay Out Them Oceans, Jesus!"With increasing numbers of shark attacks occurring this summer, Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate (AKA my new life advisor) decided to record a Summer Safety video to remind her followers about the dangers of sharks. Veronica-Pooh has a whole bunch of videos to spread the word of her ministry and I am definitely a new fan.
