Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Briteskies family, John Kormanec. Previously the Director of Technology at an IT consulting firm, John joins us as a Solutions Architect. His favorite part of the new job is that every day provides him with many opportunities to learn something new, and he is looking forward to working with some very talented people in an environment that fosters creativity and professional growth.

JK_welcome_picJohn’s professional life started in a very different industry: health care. While working with a software vendor on a project that involved beta testing an electronic inventory management system, John realized how interested he was in the vendor’s work and decided that was the career for him. He then switched his career focus and completed a Masters degree in Information Systems Management.

In his personal life, John enjoys spending time with his family, as well as outdoor activities such as camping, gardening, geocaching, and backyard astronomy. John also coaches baseball and soccer and brews his own beer. A self-described audiophile, John enjoys listening to a variety of musical genres, including progressive rock, classical, blues, and country.

Welcome, John! We look forward to having you on the team (and trying some of that home brew!)

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have three things with you, what would they be?

A: A GPS unit, a HAM radio transceiver, and a liquid fluoride thorium reactor with a steam-powered AC generator and desalination condenser. (Well, duh!)
