Firebear Studio

While we typically feature a particular blog post in this roundup, the Firebear Studio blog as a whole is worth a look. A valuable resource for Magento developers, the blog gets into the nitty gritty of Magento development.

The Ultimate Magento 2 Tutorial in particular has a wealth of information on everything Magento 2. From extensions and video tutorials to templates and a developer’s cookbook, this blog post takes an extensive look at the features available with Magento 2.

Why Web Design is Dead

“Web design is (finally!) dying of irrelevance,” starts this article by Sergio Nouvel on UX Magazine that goes into Nouvel’s reasoning as to why web design has no future.

With five detailed symptoms of “imminent death” listed, the post seems to spell out the diminishing future of web design. But where does that leave the development of future sites and, perhaps even more critically, web designers?

While web design itself may be fading away, it is also transforming into something else: UX design. As static web pages become part of something much bigger (think: apps, social media, SEO, etc.), the need for experience design is on the rise.

Check out the full article here to read more about the changing face of the web designer and the importance of UX design.
