  • Intelligent faceting
  • Merchandising rules
  • Synonym management
  • Category browse

You can get in-depth information about Live Search on the blog, and you can download the free extension in the Adobe Marketplace.

Live Search isn't the only new feature recently released for Adobe Commerce. Also included in the recent announcement were a security update and a performance update.

Security Update

The enhanced Security Scan Tool now supports storefronts built using PWA Studio. This tool is an important part of the Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source arsenal as it helps merchants monitor their storefronts for malware, security risks, and unauthorized access. With over 21,000 threat signatures to check against and over 500 signatures added monthly, this free tool brings merchants real-time insights into the security status of their stores.

So, whether your store runs on PWA or not, you're encouraged to utilize this free tool.

Performance Update

Along with the Live Search release and updated Security Scan Tool, Adobe Commerce announced that the performance engineering team has run comprehensive performance benchmarks on Adobe Commerce 2.4.2 on a Cloud Pro 144 instance. Results from this evaluation demonstrate a significant gain in performance over previous benchmarks run on Adobe Commerce 2.3.2. Some highlights are:

  • Orders per hour have improved over 500%
  • Un-cached pageviews have improved 300%
  • Average REST API response remained below 300ms
